Trigger guns and pressure-activated unloader valves work together to direct water into bypass and back to the pump or float tank. When the
trigger gun is pulled, the unloader valve works with the pump and nozzle to produce high pressure, sending it through the high pressure hose. When the trigger gun is released, the unloader valve shifts into bypass, causing the water to flow back to the inlet side of the pump or float tank, under virtually no pressure. This bypass action protects both the pressure washer pump as well as the power washer user from injury.
