Pressure Washer Nozzle Selection Guide

Get The Right Nozzle For The Job!

Orifice Size

Proper nozzle size selection is necessary for your pressure washer to operate at optimum performance.

If the nozzle size is too small, your pressure washer can be damaged. If the nozzle size is too large, cleaning ability is compromised.  Correct nozzle size is calculated based on the pressure washer’s GPM @ PSI (gallons per minute at a specific pounds per square inch). Nozzle fan degree, or spray angle, does not effect the size of your nozzle orifice.

To find the correct nozzle size for your machine use our handy calculator, or download the selection chart below.

To use our Nozzle Size Selection Chart

  1. Select the PSI of your pressure washer in the top row
  2. Drop down to your operating GPM
  3. Follow that to the left hand column for correct nozzle size

Spray Angle

Selecting the correct nozzle degree, or spray angle, for your application is important. Using the wrong spray angle can result in reduced cleaning effectiveness, or even damage the surface you are attempting to clean.

To help you select the correct spray angle, we have provided brief descriptions of the standard nozzle degrees and their most common applications:

  • 0° – Red
  • 15° – Yellow
  • 25° – Green
  • 40° – White
  • 65° – Black

When purchasing a nozzle, Quick Connect Nozzle spray angles are easily identifiable by the color indicated. Other nozzle degrees will be detailed in the product description.
